E-C-Q© is a payment system that has been designed to bring new customers to the exciting and wonderful world of e-commerce. E-C-Q© is different from other transaction processing systems because it offers it’s services to people all over the planet. Anyone who has access to the Internet and has a personal e-mail address can now purchase goods using an E-C-Q© account without the need for a credit card or supplying personal financial information. E-C-Q© provides a method where customers can retain their privacy and security while conducting their business. 

E-C-Q© customers are people who:

  1. Do not have credit cards
  2. Do not want to use their credit cards over the internet
  3. Do not have bank accounts
  4. Do not want to give personal financial information out over the Internet.

E-C-Q© is a payment system designed and built specifically to support E-Commerce. If you are a merchant who has an e-commerce site or is thinking of setting up a site then E-C-Q© is a payment system you should seriously consider.

How does E-C-Q© work?
It is very simple. E-C-Q© customers who are interested in purchasing over the Internet place money on deposit and when they want to purchase an item or service they issue an E-C-Q© cheque drawn on that account to the merchant.   Before the cheque is released E-C-Q© verifies that the funds are available. If the cheque is cleared then
E-C-Q© immediately advises the merchant that funds are available, and asks for instructions on how to settle the account. If the Merchant has established payment instructions with E-C-Q© already. E-C-Q©  confirms the sale and pays immediately as instructed.  

How does E-C-Q© pay?
E-C-Q© pays the merchant by one of the following methods:
  1. Wire / direct deposit to a bank account.
  2. A VISA or MasterCard payment.
  3. A cheque, certified cheque or money order.
  4. A deposit to an E-C-Q© holding account.

    It is the merchant who tells E-C-Q© how they want to be paid.

E-C-Q© confirms the deposit
If the method of payment is WIRE / DIRECT DEPOSIT
E-C-Q© deposits the funds as instructed, prepares a statement of deposit and e-mails it directly to the merchant advising the details of the transaction the service charges and the net amount deposited. The merchant can then simply verify the funds have gone into the account and compare the order to what is on the shipping dock and then ship the goods.  
If the method of payment is CREDIT CARD
E-C-Q© will contact the merchants credit card site , refer to the original purchase and provide the appropriate information to settle the transaction. A follow up e-mail will be sent to confirm the transaction and payment.
 
If the method of payment is CHEQUE / CERTIFIED CHEQUE / MONEY ORDER
E-C-Q© sends an immediate e-mail to the merchant confirming the purchase and the available funds and mails or couriers the cheque or money order to the address specified.
 
If the method of payment is DEPOSIT TO AN E-C-Q© HOLDING ACCOUNT
E-C-Q© will immediately deposit the funds into the merchants E-C-Q© account and settle the payment according to the standing instructions in place. An e-mail will be sent directly to the merchant confirming the transaction and the settlement.  
 
E-C-Q© has two types of merchant accounts  

1.    Merchants who have accepted E-C-Q©  as a payment method. If you become a merchant with an E-C-Q© holding account we establish a set of instructions of how you want to be paid. These become your standing instructions and every time a customer buys something from your site E-C-Q© will settle that purchase according to your instructions.

2.   Merchants who do not have E-C-Q© as a payment method. If a merchant does not have an E-C-Q© account they will advise E-C-Q© how they want to be paid each time an E-C-Q© customer buys something from their site.
