Weiler Brothers Home Furnishings the first large scale department store
in Victoria and one of the largest retail stores in the country.
Total floor area; 109,162 sq. feet. Construction cost; $25,000.
In order to supply sufficient light for the floor area a massive post
and beam structure was employed with large arched windows on every floor.
Interior used elaborate moulded plaster and native woods.
Worth a visit inside the store.
